Job Description

As an Optometrist with our practice, you will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and treat various eye conditions, and offer guidance on visual health. You will work alongside a friendly and supportive team. Our experienced technician completes extensive pretesting and all diagnostic testing. Our office has two fully-equipped exam lanes, a Humphry Visual Field, Zeiss OCT, and Optomap.  We serve a wide range of ages and demographics, specializing in primary care while also accommodating a smaller number of medical patients. We operate at a comfortable pace, seeing an average of 12-16 patients per day.

We are a well-established private optometry practice located in the vibrant and historic Fountain Square neighborhood in the heart of Indianapolis. Our practice is dedicated to providing exceptional eye care and personalized service to our community. As we seek to continue delivering high-quality care, we are looking for a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team for a 3-month contract while our current doctor is on maternity leave.

Candidate Description

We seek a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist with exceptional clinical skills and a patient-focused approach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and managing various ocular and systemic conditions, and utilizing modern diagnostic technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with patients and collaborating effectively with our team. The candidate should also demonstrate high ethical standards, organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development to deliver top-notch, personalized care in our practice.

Candidate Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid optometry license in Indiana.
• Proven experience in clinical optometry with strong diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
