Job Description

We are seeking an optometrist passionate about improving the lives of their patients. Previous experience in vision therapy is a plus, but not necessary.

Your role will involve:

Vision Therapy:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and diagnostics to identify visual deficits and developmental vision issues in patients.
  • Designing personalized vision therapy programs tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
  • Guiding and motivating patients through engaging and effective vision therapy sessions.
  • Tracking progress and adjusting treatment plans to ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborating with other specialists to create holistic treatment plans.

 Patient Education:

  • Educating patients and their families about the nature of their visual conditions and the available treatment options.
  • Empowering patients to take an active role in their visual rehabilitation journey.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in vision therapy and low vision rehabilitation.

Office

At Seattle Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation Center, PLLC (SVTRC), our practice focuses on providing vision therapy and low vision rehabilitation. We believe that every individual deserves the best quality of life, including our employees. As an optometrist at the SVTRC, you will enjoy working full-time only 4 days per week, no weekends or on-call duties, as well as time to develop meaningful connections with your patients.

Candidate Description

The ideal candidate would either have a strong interest in or a background in vision therapy.

Candidate Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Interest or previous experience in Vision Therapy.
  • Preferred, but not required: Interest or previous experience in Low Vision Rehabilitation.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to create customized treatment plans.
  • Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills to connect with patients of all ages.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
