Candidate Description

In this role, you will provide comprehensive eye care, contact lens evaluations, diagnose and treat visual conditions, and offer personalized solutions tailored to each patient’s needs. Candidate Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice optometry in NY.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and manage various eye conditions.
• Strong refracting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical concepts in a kind and easy-to-understand manner.
• Genuine compassion for patients, with a strong desire to improve their well-being and quality of life.
• Ability to create a welcoming, patient-centered environment and work effectively with diverse patient populations.

• Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with advanced optometric technology (OCT, visual field testing, fundus photography. Vision R phoropter).
  • Experience with specialty contact lenses (e.g., scleral, multifocal) is a plus.
  • Comfortable treating patients of all ages, from children to seniors.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
