Job Description

Swedberg Eye Care is seeking a dedicated part-time Optometrist to join our team! This role offers the opportunity to work 2-3 days a week, with hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. Coverage may also be requested throughout the year with plenty of notice beforehand. Pay would be per diem with possible incentives negotiable. Patient care would consist of 15-20 routine and medical exams per day.  There is a significant potential for future growth and a full time role.

Our optometrists practice alongside a cataract and oculoplastic surgeon and practice to the highest medical extent including conducting comprehensive medical eye exams, managing medical ocular conditions, and playing a significant part in all pre- and post-operative care.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree

  • Licensure: Valid Washington State license to practice optometry 

  • Experience: Familiarity with ocular disease, including diagnosis and treatment. Familiarity with post operative processes a must.

  • Skills: Comfortable working in a high-paced environment and collaborating with MD and highly trained technical staff

  • Traits: Strong rapport with staff and patients; excellent diagnostic skills
