Optometrist (Sacramento & Roseville)

Compensation: Competitive DOE
Employment type: Part Time with the possibility of Full Time

We have a busy Lasik and General Ophthalmology Practice with two surgeons,  three highly trained optometrists, with a quality optical dispensary in two locations. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Optometrist who enjoys diagnostic and therapeutic challenges to join our team.  

We are a private practice group that has been serving our community for the last 49 years.  We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standard of care for our patients, while providing a rewarding and respectful practice for all of our team members.  You will be welcomed into a group that places patient care at the forefront.

You will be working with our highly trained staff which will provide excellent technical and administrative support, allowing our providers to focus on delivering outstanding patient care during their workday.

Office

Longevity.  Dr's Griffin & Reed both now retired but worked their entire career here. Practice Administrator has 40+ years of Ophthalmology experience and is often told by new and previous employees how organized and efficient compared to other practices.  Several employees over 10 have or had been with Griffin & Reed over 10 years some up to 20 years.  We have been in Business since 1974.

Willing to try new things:  We were the first practice to purchase the Visx Laser - this was prior to FDA approval.  We spent 2 years taking patients to Canada for PRK so we could be experienced and educated about post op care.  Dr. Griffin and Reed both had PRK on their eye(s) prior to taking any patients up to Canada.

Candidate Requirements

    *Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry program
    *Valid optometry license in California
    *Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and  diagnosis eye conditions
    *excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    *ability to work effectively in a team environment
    *detail oriented and strong problem solving abilities
    *commitment to providing exceptional patient care
