Optician: Private Practice Optometry, Full time Bellflower, CA

Pay range $25-30 depending on performance and experience.

Candidate Description

We are looking for a full-time optician who is friendly, punctual, caring, and a problem solver. Candidates must have experience in optical with excellent customer service skills and display a team player mentality.

Candidate Requirements

Experience:

• Firm understanding of basic optical knowledge
• Pretesting and working up patients
• Must enjoy choosing frames for patients balancing patient preferences, visual needs, and prescription
• Advising various lens technologies for the best vision
• Contact lens knowledge in materials and training
• Skills in dispensing, adjusting and repairing glasses
• Basic computer skills and billing insurance online

• People skills to gain confidence and respect with minimum effort
• Truly enjoys serving people patients and co-workers alike
• Aptitude and energy to learn and work quickly with the least amount of supervision
• Must be self-motivated and self-initiating
• A willingness to share and teach what you know to others as well as learn from others
