Duties

-Be able to pull vision insurance
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyewear based on their prescription and personal style preferences
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses (Pupillary Distance and Seg Heights)
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and other enhancements to meet their visual needs
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed to ensure optimal comfort and functionality
- Maintain inventory of eyewear frames, lenses, and accessories
- Process orders for new eyewear and contact lenses
- Keep the optical area clean and organized

Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the eyes and visual system
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in an optical or ophthalmology setting
- Familiarity with vital signs measurement techniques
- Proficient in optical terminology and understanding of lens prescriptions
- Basic understanding of retail math for pricing and discounts
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the optical area
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to effectively manage inventory and track sales trends
- Strong sales skills to promote products and services to customers

Office

We are an Optometrist/Optician’s office seeking alumni interested in practicing with us. We sell eyewear, fit patients for contact lenses, fix and adjust eyeglasses, treat medical eye emergencies, etc. Our office is The Eye Doctor Unlimited and we are located at 1704 Virginia Avenue, College Park, Georgia, 30337.
