Job Description
Established private practice in West San Jose, CA is seeking an enthusiastic Full-Time or Part-Time OD to join our growing office. Our office is equipped with the latest technology including OCT, retina photography and topographer. We are passionate about myopia control and looking to expand into other specialties such as scleral lenses and dry eyes. We have an amazing team to support you!
The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care and eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset. We offer a good work/life balance, weekday schedule is 10 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturdays 10 AM to 5 PM. Flexible 1-2 Saturdays off. Exams scheduled every 30 minutes.
We pay Full-Time a competitive per diem pay plus production bonus and full benefits package including: medical insurance, 401K, PTO, paid holidays, and malpractice insurance.

Candidate Description
We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice. You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset.
Candidate Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid California state license to practice optometry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses and specialty contact lenses such as ortho-k and MiSight lenses
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to LASIK patients
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
- Handle eyecare emergencies
