Job Description
Canby Eyecare is seeking a Fill-In Optometrist to join our friendly and high-performing team from July through October 2025 to help cover maternity leave. We’re open to coverage on any days of the week and are offering a competitive per diem for the right candidate.
Whether you're available for a single day here and there or several days per week, we’d love to connect! New graduates are welcome to apply.

We are a patient-centered private practice located in Canby, Oregon, serving the community with comprehensive eye care in a warm, welcoming environment. Our office is equipped with the latest technology and supported by a knowledgeable, efficient team.
Candidate Description
What You’ll Do
- Perform comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases including dry eye, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease
- Prescribe glasses and contact lenses
- Educate patients on eye health and preventative care
- Co-manage pre- and post-operative surgical patients
- Utilize modern diagnostic tools (including OCT and widefield retinal imaging)
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a timely and professional manner

Candidate Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited school
- Active Oregon license (or ability to obtain before start)
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable seeing patients independently in a primary care setting
- Flexible availability between July and October 2025
- New grads encouraged to apply!
