Stockton Optometry is a well respected Optometry Practice in Stockton, California, known exceptional care and commitment to a loyal patient base. Established in 1982 by Dr. David J. Benkle, our practice has earned a strong reputation for personalized and expert care that ensures long-lasting vision health. We offer various services, including advanced diagnostic testing, specialty contact lenses, myopia management, dry eye treatments, and more. We are now looking for an Part-Time Optometrist to join our team and help continue our tradition of excellence.

Candidate Description
As an Optometrist, you’ll work in a supportive and team-oriented environment, providing exceptional care to a diverse patient base. You will conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and implement treatment plans. Our ideal candidate will have experience with Myopia management, scleral lens fittings, keratoconus, glaucoma management, and dry eye treatments. You’ll have access to state-of-the-art equipment, and you will play a key role in patient education and the introduction of new services, including IPL and LLLT, Topcon's Myah, Optovue Solex OCT, Firefly Digital Slit lamp with photography and Dry eye software. Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the practice, with potential for future ownership.
Candidate Requirements
- Experienced Professional: A California licensed Optometrist with myopia management experience, glaucoma certification, and a strong background in specialty contact lenses (e.g., scleral lenses).
- Dry Eye Expertise: Experience or knowledge in dry eye treatment modalities such as IPL and LLLT is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A business-minded individual who is eager to grow and invest in their future, with an interest in practice ownership.
- Patient-Centered: A compassionate provider who enjoys working with a diverse patient population and upholding the practice’s tradition of excellent care.
- Knowledge of Spanish (Preferred): Ability to conduct exams in Spanish
