Job Description

Hass Vision Center is seeking a caring, motivated Associate Optometrist to join our well-established, community-focused practice in Owosso, Durand, and Chesaning, Michigan. This position is flexible—available as either full-time or part-time—and offers the opportunity to practice a rewarding mix of primary care and medical optometry. You'll see a diverse range of patients and cases, from routine exams to diabetic eye care and glaucoma management. Our schedule allows for meaningful patient interactions and continuity of care, not high-volume throughput. We welcome new grads and fourth-year students preparing to graduate

Office

Founded in 1918, Hass Vision Center is one of Michigan’s longest-standing independent practices. With locations in three tight-knit communities, we’ve earned a reputation for personalized, quality care across generations of families. Each location is modernized and fully equipped for full-scope optometry, including OCT, VF, fundus cameras, slit lamp cameras, meibomian gland imaging, and specialty contact lens services. Our team is collaborative, low-stress, and committed to excellence without corporate pressure. You’ll have clinical autonomy, supportive staff, and the opportunity to grow your specialty interests in an environment that values both patient care and provider well-being.

Candidate Description

We're looking for someone who is kind, ethical, and excited to build relationships with patients in a small-town setting. A great fit will be someone who values continuity of care and enjoys treating both routine and complex cases. Our ideal candidate is a team player, communicates clearly, and appreciates working in a relaxed yet professional environment. If you're seeking clinical freedom, a supportive team, and a community-oriented practice, we’d love to meet you. Whether you're early in your career or looking for a long-term home, we welcome you to bring your passion and skills to our growing team.

Candidate Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program

  • Licensed to practice in Michigan (or license eligibility by start date)

  • New grads and graduating optometry students are encouraged to apply

  • No residency required, but welcome

  • Must be able to travel between office locations (all within a short drive)

  • Strong clinical skills and an interest in medical optometry are a plus
