Job Description

Associate Optometrist – Part Time Opportunity (up to 3 days per week, and 1 Saturday per month) with potential to expand to a full-time opportunity 

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Optometrist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, conducting comprehensive eye examinations, and assisting in the management of various ocular conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of optometry practices, as well as excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.

Candidate Description

 

Work collaboratively with staff to ensure an excellent patient experience.

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service to enhance patient satisfaction 
  • Proficiency in handling EHR medical records systems and maintaining confidentiality of patient information
  • Provide comprehensive eye exams and manage ocular disease
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and fit contact lenses
  • Educate patients on vision care and treatment options
  • Stay current on advancements in optometry and continuing education
  • Interest in long-term career growth and potential ownership

Candidate Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
  • Active Massachusetts Optometry License with a certificate of use of TPA with Glaucoma
  • Active Massachusetts Optometrist Controlled Substance Registration
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Trained in utilizing and incorporating technology tools to provide high level patient care and practice management. Our practice is equipped with an OCT, Retinal Camera, VRVF, RETeval, and utilizes Revolution EHR.
