Candidate Description

Candidate Requirements

Education & Licensure

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school

• Active Florida Optometry License (or eligibility for licensure prior to start date)

• Board Certification or Fellowship is welcomed but not required

Training & Clinical Skills

• Proficiency in comprehensive eye exams, medical optometry, and contact lens fittings

• Experience diagnosing and managing ocular surface disease, glaucoma, and retinal conditions

• Interest or prior exposure to Dry Eye Disease management, including advanced treatments such as IPL, LLLT, and OptiLift (training provided if needed)

• Comfort with advanced diagnostic technology (OCT, meibography, topography, etc.)

• Understanding of EHR documentation, coding, and billing best practices

Experience

• 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred (new grads encouraged to apply with strong clinical training)

• Experience in private practice, medical optometry, or aesthetics is a plus
