Full-time Associate Optometrist in Independent Private Practice

Job Description

Hiring an associate optometrist for our two practices in the heart of Nashville and downtown Franklin, TN starting around June or July, 2026. One of our star associate's husband was transferred in the military. Most of your time will be spent in our beautiful, newly renovated, state-of-the-art practice at 2416 21st Ave S. Looking for a full-time, residency-trained OD with a few years experience in private practice. The job is to direct our busy dry eye center with plenty of technology at your fingertips (IPL, Optivize, BlephEx, Lacrifill, manual expressions, etc), see high-end general patients who have been trained to value comprehensive, high-touch care, and see ocular pathology including glaucoma treatment, cornea care, and some minor surgical procedures (cryosurgery and lumps and bumps). Candidate Description

A good fit for us is someone with a work ethic and drive that puts patients and the team above individual interests. If we have a contact lens patient who flies in for care and needs IPL and gland expression on the spot, this person will say, "No problem, I'll fit them in." With that comes respect and financial reward in the form of incentive on precedures. 

Candidate Requirements

Optometry degree from one of the legacy optometry schools where training is top notch. Residency training in primary care, ocular disease, contact lens or a premier program that combines those aspects. One to five years experience in private practice.
