Candidate Requirements
Education & Licensure

Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school

Active Florida Optometry License (or eligibility for licensure prior to start date)

Board Certification or Fellowship is welcomed but not required
Training & Clinical Skills
-
Proficiency in comprehensive eye exams, medical optometry, and contact lens fittings

Experience diagnosing and managing ocular surface disease, glaucoma, and retinal conditions

Interest or prior exposure to Dry Eye Disease management, including advanced treatments such as IPL, LLLT, and OptiLift (training provided if needed)

Comfort with advanced diagnostic technology (OCT, meibography, topography, etc.)

Understanding of EHR documentation, coding, and billing best practices
Experience

1–3 years of clinical experience preferred (new grads encouraged to apply with strong clinical training)

Experience in private practice, medical optometry, or aesthetics is a plus
