Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Optician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to customer care, and experience in optical sales and eyewear fitting. Licensed opticians are strongly preferred, but we welcome experienced, unlicensed candidates with a strong background in optical work.

Office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames and lenses based on prescription and lifestyle needs

  • Accurately take measurements including PD, seg height, and frame adjustments

  • Provide guidance on lens options, coatings, and insurance coverage

  • Order, verify, and dispense eyewear

  • Adjust, repair, and maintain glasses to ensure proper fit and comfort

  • Maintain clean and organized dispensary and optical displays

  • Educate patients on eyewear care and usage

  • Support administrative duties as needed, including scheduling and insurance verification

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • State licensure as an optician preferred (if applicable)

  • Excellent customer service and sales skills

  • Knowledge of optical products, lens technology, and insurance billing

  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

  • Proficiency with EMR and optical software is a plus
