Optician Wanted – Licensed Optician or Apprentice (1+ Year Experience)
Locations: New Haven, North Haven, Orange, Branford, Guilford, Old saybrook.
We’re looking for a dedicated, customer-focused Optician (Licensed or Apprentice) to join our team in a stylish retail designer eyewear environment. If you have at least one year of experience in optical or retail eyewear sales and a passion for helping people see and look their best, we’d love to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Assist customers with frame and lens selection, with a focus on high-end fashion eyewear and luxury optical brands
- Deliver a premium customer experience that blends fashion and function
- Verify and interpret vision insurance benefits
- Schedule appointments and follow up with customers
- Place and track orders; notify customers when eyewear is ready
- Maintain store cleanliness and merchandising standards
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) system (experience preferred)
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 1 year of experience in optical sales or retail eyewear
- Experience or interest in high-end fashion eyewear and designer brands
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic optical knowledge and proficiency with eyewear fitting
- Familiarity with optical equipment and POS systems
- Professional, team-oriented, and detail-focused
