Job Description
We are seeking an organized and proactive Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our office runs smoothly and efficiently, providing support to staff and management while maintaining a welcoming environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen understanding of office management practices. We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in the field of Optometry which must include experience in selling eyewear, contact lenses, medical and vision insurances, HR, pre-testing, etc.
Office
We are a private practice located in an affluent community in north Dallas. We are well established and have been in business for over 30 years. Our office hours are Monday - Friday with no evenings or Saturdays. We are family oriented and with many of our staff having been with us for more than 5 years. We have an optometrist that completed a residency and fellowship in cornea and contact lenses, so we offer specialty contact lens services which include scleral lens fittings, ortho-K, and other hard to fit eyes. We also have a pediatric resident trained optometrist that provides vision therapy services.
Candidate Description
Skills must Include:
- Strong vendor management.
- Ability to develop training programs tailored to staff needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in clerical tasks with a focus on organization and attention to detail.
- Experience in medical office management.
- Solid understanding of office management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with human resources processes is beneficial.
- Familiarity with all aspects of an optometric practice including opticianry, receptionist and technicians.
Candidate Requirements
We require at least 5 years of experience, but no licenses are required. We only ask for a high school graduate, but advanced degrees would be beneficial and useful.
