Job Description
Our rapidly growing, multi-location practice is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our practice, equipped with state-of-the-art technology to deliver comprehensive optometry services. We offer full- or part-time opportunities, allowing this position to provide a well-balanced schedule for our doctors.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to positively impact their community by delivering high-quality eye care while enhancing patients' quality of life. If you don’t have a Florida License, don’t worry. We will walk you through the process and pay for it.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and ocular abnormalities or diseases.
- Prescribe and fit corrective eyeglasses or contact lenses based on patients' visual needs.
- Diagnose and manage various eye conditions, such as dry eyes, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients who undergo eye surgeries.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and opticians, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.

Candidate Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license to practice optometry.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy related to the eye.
- Familiarity with medical coding practices is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
- Familiarity with medical systems for electronic health record management.
- An understanding of medical terminology and coding to accurately document patient encounters.
