Are you an optometrist seeking a temporary yet fulfilling position with a well-established and patient-focused practice? Canby Eyecare is looking for a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team for 3-4 days per week from July 2025 through October 2025 to provide coverage during maternity leave.

Candidate Description

Key Responsibilities

As a primary care optometrist at Canby Eyecare, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions, including myopia, glaucoma, and dry eye.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and educate patients about their visual needs.
  • Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment (OCT, ERG, VF, topography, retinal imaging, etc.) to ensure accurate assessments.
  • Provide patient-centered care with an emphasis on communication and education.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.

Candidate Requirements

Key Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
  • Active Oregon optometry license (or ability to obtain one prior to start).
  • Strong clinical skills and proficiency in primary eye care services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Passion for providing high-quality, personalized patient care.
  • Experience with advanced diagnostic technology is a plus.
