We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of various ocular conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care. This practice has been in business for 39 years. Candidate Description

• Experience with medical records systems and coding is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of physiology related to eye health is essential.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
• A passion for providing exceptional patient care and improving overall eye health outcomes.

Candidate Requirements

Optometry  degree required and license for the State of Alabama

• Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose ocular diseases.
• Interpret medical records and utilize appropriate systems for patient documentation.
• Provide treatment recommendations and prescribe corrective lenses as needed.
• Educate patients on eye health, proper lens care, and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with medical coding standards.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
• Demonstrate knowledge of physiology as it relates to visual health and disease processes.
• Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety.
