Job Description
We are looking for an Optometrist to help with a busy Office. Most of our patients are young families. We fit and sell a lot of dailies contact lenses. We see pediatric patients and offer myopia control. We also fit scleral contact lenses. We have many general optometry cases in which we prescribe glasses and contact lenses. We do also see ocular disease and emergency patients. We have an in-office lab, a fundus camera and OCT, topographer and Humphrey visual field. We can teach scleral fitting. New grads are welcome, as long as they enjoy learning. We schedule patients every 30 minutes depending in the type of visit. We do see emergencies, contact followups and dilations in between. Must have therapeutics license for glaucoma treatment. Schedule is Monday 9-6, Tuesday 9-6, Wednesday 8-5, Friday 9-6, Saturday 9-3 and we take approximately 1 Saturday off and month and work that Thursday instead.
Office
We are a friendly office with high tech equipment. We are one of the top selling Dailies Contacts offices around our area. We see mostly young families. We are not a box store and can give patients the necessary attention they need. We dilate and care for all their eye care needs, from medical optometry to general optometry. We pride ourselves on seeing the entire family.
Candidate Description
We want a motivated, energetic, meticulous optometrist who loves to help the patient with all their eye care needs. We would like you to get to know the patient and spend time learning about them and their families. You should have an upbeat personality who is eager to learn and expand your knowledge. We like to stay on the forefront of new technologies. We would like to encourage you to want to learn and ask questions and also teach us. We have a younger patient population, so we would want you to try to educate the young families to bring in their children for eye exams.
Candidate Requirements
Doctor of Optometry, Therapeutics, Glaucoma certified.
