Job Description
Eycon is growing and we are seeking a dedicated part-time Optometrist to join our team at our Fort Washington, MD location. This role offers the opportunity to work 2-3 days a week, with hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. Coverage may also be requested at our Navy Yard, DC location. Pay would be per diem with possible incentives negotiable. Patient care would consist of 15-20 routine and medical exams per day, with an emphasis on dry eye management and specialty contact lens care. There is a significant potential for future growth and a full time role.
Office
Eycon is a new optometric business starting in April 2024 in Washington, DC and expanded to a second location in Fort Washington, MD in July 2024. At Eycon, there is an importance on providing the ultimate patient experience in eye care. Each location is setup to allow the optometrist the time and technology to invest in each patient to determine their current ocular findings and provide the best visual results.
Eycon - Navy Yard currently has a dry eye center that utilizes Lumenis optilight technology for their IPL/RF treatments. We plan on being the premier provide in the DMV area for dry eye treatment and management.
Candidate Description
Eycon is seeking a motivated optometrist that enjoys full scope optometry.
The ideal candidate would have a special interest in the following:
- Dry eye treatment
- Specialty contact lens fits
- A strong medical background is preferred, however not required as training and guidance will be given to help individual growth
- Pediatric exams (5 yrs and up)
- Working with a high-end optical studio incorporating luxury frame lines
- Business mindset
- Able to embrace current technology and incorporate it into patient care
Candidate Requirements
Prospective candidates for this role are required to have:
- Active optometric license in Maryland. Additional DC license would be beneficial.
